Class Description:
Explore Persian dance, music, and expression with a focus on the classical, lyrical style of Persian Dance. Learn technique foundational to all Persian Dance. Technique will be put together into emotive and fun combinations to show the essence of Persian Classical Dance.
Bio:
Natalie has been dancing for more than 18 years, and has devoted her life to the study of dance from Tajikistan, Iran, & Uzbekistan. She has received grants & awards to study dance and conduct dance research in Uzbekistan & Tajikistan. Natalie is the Assistant Director of Ballet Afsaneh, Program director & teacher in the Afsaneh Dance Academy, and choreographer for Sorayya Dance Company out of UC Berkeley. Her hope is to share the beauty in these regions of the world through dance!
